Children are supremely confident in their ability to look after themselves.

Chris West, a Safer Schools Officer with the Metropolitan Police, asks children if they know about road safety. Their confidence is high so he asks why they are in the age group that has the highest number of accidents on the roads. They then admit that they “don’t think”.

It’s not just knowing what to do; it’s applying that learning.
